Harry is our Good Weekend cover boy

Sunday, 28th March, 2010
This weekend is a big weekend for Galatasaray fans all over the globe as Galatasaray host their arch rivals Fenerbahce in the derby of all derbies. Following Besiktas' victory last night Galatasaray have dropped to 3rd place but remain a point above 4th placed Fenerbahce. Harry has been unable to train with the team so far this week but there are rumours that he may be fit enough to find a place on the bench and perhaps play a super-sub role if Frank Rijkaard desires.

Back home, Harry is the centre of attention in the magazine 'Good Weekend'. Award winning journalist Greg Bearup travelled to Istanbul to write the feature article on Harry. Unlike previous articles on Harry with the cliched 'Turkish Delight' heading, this article gives an up close and in-depth view of Harry and his life in Istanbul. It also touches on aspects away from football such as his aspirations to appear on Top Gear, his desire to learn how to cook, how his wife and children are symbolised in his tattoos and how one day Harry would like to write his own biography.

Earlier in the week there was an article in the Mirror from the United Kingdom focusing on Harry's wife Sheree. Talking about the long distance relationship, she says "It's like we're living a parallel virtual life. He Skypes us every night so we can be together when we eat. We even have a device that means Harry can tune into the same TV programmes from over there. He tells me to turn it on so he doesn't miss his favourite shows!". Sheree also touched on Harry's decision to play so far away from home saying "Harry will always say: 'If you don't want me to go away then I won't.' But he's only got a few more years as a footballer left and he loves playing out there. They (Galatasaray fans) love him.". You can read the entire article here.

The Australian fashion house Politix has just released its Winter Collection for 2010 and just as the past two years, Harry is the brand ambassador and model. Click here to see the new photos.

Below is a video from 5 years ago when Harry appeared on the hit show MTV Cribs. The video was very hard to find so hopefully you'll enjoy it!

Harry to feature this weekend?

Saturday, 20th March, 2010
Despite many thinking Harry would be sitting alongside Milan Baros on the bench at last weekend's away match to Ankaragucu, Harry didn't make the away trip whilst Milan managed a goal in the 3-0 victory. This weekend Galatasaray play against Trabzonspor who are sitting 5th on the league table. Galatasaray meanwhile are currently on second place but that could all change depending on the results of both Besiktas' and Fenerbahce's games this Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Harry is still training seperately from the team but he could be a late call up especially as Arda Turan and Mehmet Topal injured each other in training recently.

Some more photos of Harry and fellow Aussie Lucas Neill have been added to the Off the Pitch gallery.

Kewell could be back this weekend

Wednesday, 3rd March, 2010
Reports from Turkey say Harry may be making a surprise second half substitution in this weekend's league match against Eskisehir. This will be good news for all the Galatasaray fans. It is just a pity the Europa League match wasn't a week later otherwise Galatasaray could have got a spot in the last sixteen. Injured playmaker Elano is also expected to make it back whilst Milan Baros will need a couple more weeks on the sidelines.
