Harry scores in extra time as Gala lose 1-2

Monday, 29 November, 2010
Galatasaray hosted Besiktas last night, with both teams in unlikely and uncomfortable positions on the table. Galatasaray dominated the play from the start but an early foul in the box and a converted penalty by Guti meant Galatasaray had to work harder. Harry played the entire match spending most of his time hassling defenders down the left flank.

Despite Galatasaray's dominance in the second half, it was the visitors who scored again. Galatasaray claimed a goal back thanks to a powerful header by Harry from a Mehmet Batdal cross. However it was all a little bit too late as Besiktas held on for the 2-1 victory.

Harry along with Josh Kennedy has pulled out of the Australia-Egypt friendly this Thursday (4:30am AEDT). Harry's absence from the friendly however is unlikely due to an injury as he wasn't injured in Galatasaray's last match, a disappointing 2-0 loss to Manisaspor. Harry started the match but didn't have a great game and was unable to make the most of his opportunities down the left side of the field. He was eventually substituted in the 54th minute for Mehmet Batdal. The loss sees Galatasaray sink to 10th on the Turkish Super Lig table and they will face an uphill battle if they hope of gaining qualification for European football.

Gala win 3-1 as Harry plays 68 minutes

Harry started and played 68 minutes against Denizlispor in Galatasaray's first Turkish Cup match of the season. It wasn't the best of matches for Harry as he struggled to get past his defender and his crosses failed to meet their target. Hopefully though Harry's performance was due to his rustiness and the fact that it was only his second match back from injury. Harry did contribute to the opening goal however, with his cross into the box being failed to be cleared by defenders allowing Elano to calmly latch onto the ball and send it past the goalkeeper. Pino was the star of the match scoring two second half goals with his second goal being a superbly taken volley.
